Pelra joined Quebecor in 2020 to develop and structure the corporation's entrepreneurship strategy and initiatives leading to the creation of a structure corporate venture arm. Pelra currently oversees all initiatives of asterX and leads activities of asterX Capital from prospection to portfolio management.
Pelra is a young leader, actively involved in the private equity and venture capital ecosystem in Canada. She brings over 15 years of experience in private investments, corporate finance, M&A and accounting. Prior to joining Quebecor, she led and managed numerous equity investments in leading tech startups at Investissement Québec. Before that, Pelra spent close to a decade at EY, where she advised corporate clients and institutional funds on domestic and international M&A and private equity deals. Pelra is also a Board Member of the Université de Montréal, OSEntreprendre and the Upside Foundation.
Pelra earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (professional accounting specialization) with a citation of excellence as well as a graduate degree in Public Accounting from HEC Montréal. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA auditor, CA).
Solène joined asterX in 2024 as a Senior Associate, where she is responsible for coordinating Québecor's key entrepreneurial initiatives and supporting asterX's venture capital activities.
Kristina is an Account Manager at Elmire, Quebecor’s media agency. She joined the agency with the mandate of structuring their service offering and consulting department. She contributes her marketing and content expertise to asterX.
Prior to joining Elmire, she worked as a project manager at Substance, a content agency. She was in charge of the agency's largest client in addition to being specialized in the cultural and agri-food sectors. Her expertise ranges from re-branding to digital content creation, including the development of national 360 campaigns. She has developed a consulting style based on transparency and quality relationships. Her approach is organic and ensures that she understands her clients' needs and delivers a product that meets their expectations.
With a strong background in event planning, she is known as the "Miracle Department" due to her ability to structure and execute multiple projects of various sizes at a time. Entrepreneurship was part of Kristina’s upbringing which enables her to genuinely relate to founders. She helped out with her family’s business where she was in charge of administration and finance. Additionally, she coordinated teams based out of Holland to set up one of the largest geothermally heated greenhouse complexes in Quebec.

Jean oversees strategic orientations and performance optimization of operational teams across departments and subsidiaries at Quebecor. Within asterX, he acts primarily in an advisory role in the decision-making process for investment activities.
Jean joined the Quebecor family in 2014 and has held several positions in various units of the company, including Regulatory Affairs at Quebecor's head office, Marketing at Videotron and at Quebecor Media Expertise. He cumulates numerous achievements such as the internalization of digital advertising functions at Videotron, the implementation of tangible strategies for data valuation as well as the repositioning of digital media innovation at Quebecor Media Expertise which contributed to the significant growth of the corporation's digital advertising revenues between 2019 and today.
Actively involved in his community, Jean also sits on the boards of directors of the Fondation du CHUM, the Fondation Jean-Neveu, the Pavillon Pierre-Péladeau, OSEntreprendre and Léger Marketing.
